hi

well after mat gave me $5, i felt kinda down for a lot of reasons. so i just started walking around the houses next to seacost... i just said something like "God if you want me to do your will you better make it loud and clear for me... cause im not good at that whole meditative state stuff"
so then like a second later he was like all "put under the windshield of that junk car" so that's what i did and i knew that God was going to like use that money in a way i wish i could have seen... thanks mat. because of your example ive started to let go of all the... well... junk in my life. thanks a ton

So I had a really hard time figuring out how to use the five dollars. I was then forced to simply pray about it and wait for the answer. This was not easy because I like to get the answer right away so I can get it done. However, God forced me to wait on him. So I did.
It ended up that on Sunday morning, I had breakfast with a friend in LA. We went to the cutest little cafe. But, when we arrived, I could feel God just tugging at my heart. When it was my turn to order, I knew that I had to tip this lady not only the five dollars we were given, but five more from my own pocket. That was hard, but I know that God will use it in a way I can not imagine.

well, i was actually home sick the day matt gave out $5 for everybody to give, but my friends told me about it when i asked what i missed. i was sad that i wasn't there that day. but i still have my own $5 story!
today, i went with my friend to a yogurt place were i would get free food. i decided to bring $5, i don't know why, i just felt more comfortable with a little money in my back pocket.
i was eating away when these 2 guys came in, who used to work at the old sandwich shop that used to be there.
they had their yogurt ready to go and the total was $4-something, they were handing the lady a credit card and she said cash only. they were like "ohh...well, we know the owner, so could we just..."
for some reason, i felt like i had to give them my money. i walked up right to the counter and said here, i have money, you don't need to pay me back or anything. and after their thanks and saying they'd let their boss, my friend's dad, know; i felt great! it was just such an easy choice, there was like no doubt in my mind. it was definitely a "god thing".

it took me awhile to know what i wanted to do with the five dollars. first i thought abouit the firefighters and giving them the money but i never saw one or had the time to go down. then i thought about giving it to my boyfriend just because. then when i was listening to the radio on channel 933 i heard about AJ's Kids Crane and i bought an unrapped toy and went to drop it off! after i did that i felt so good that i had helped a child get a toy a a childrens hospital. i thought to myself and said thati was telling a child that i didnt even know cared about them enough to by them a wonderful present. i had fun doing a wonderful thing for that special child.

K Matt I never did the 5 dollar story so here it is, or maybe I did cant remember and feel guilty, either way here it is. My 5 dollars I used for a friend at a japanese market. the friend is really stubborn and really money concious and I dont think my friend has a lot. we went to the japanese market right. then my friend didnt buy anything. I asked if my friend wanted anything and all I got was a no each time. i could really tell though that my friend wanted some candy and stuff, it was just that look in the eyes, so I went and used the 5 dollars and bought candy and other japanese snacks for my friend. when I tried to give the candy to my friend she refused it like 5 times I basically had to force the chocolatey goodness on my friend. my friend finally accepted the stuff, after about a half an hour of arguing(At one point I let it slip that it was church money and that made the arguing like 10 minutes longer). my friend is a very independant person and I think having me giving something or providing something that my friend couldnt spend the money on but i could came off as weird. in the end though my friend really enjoyed the candy and Im glad you gave me the 5 dollars cuz it was really cool to just have a 5 to spend on someone else.

I finally have my $5 story. As some may know I went to Wicked the play in LA with my family, and when we were driving tryig to find the parking lot and right in front of the thearte there was a bum sitting on the sidewalk playing a trumpit and he had a cup for money. Then as we parked I remembered the $5 i had and I deciced i would use it. Something (God) just reminded me about it (even though a lot of time had gone by since we got the money). So when we walked by I put $5 in the cup and the man smiled, and it made that day even more memorable for me. :) His smile made my day even better than it already was.
So thats my five dollar story!

ok so i know this is happened like last year and what not, but i was cleaning my room and i came across the little blue piece of paper, and i was like hey i should do this, so finally here is my $5 story. It was around Christmas time and my friend love photography so we all pitched in and got him a camera bag. so its short and not the most amazing thing, but i know it meant a lot to him that we thought about his interests are. so yea just being aware of other peoples needs.
